India has been introduced to the many modern characteristics found in the rest of the world. After seeing these characteristics, India is trying to modernize itself and keep up with these new customs. Bollywood is one of the aspects [different word] of India that has become modern throughout time. It shows the customs and many different cultures of India through movie and dance. Many of the movies have been made to relate to other countries and nations in the world such as the United States. Bollywood movies are also very enjoyable to watch!
Bollywood has changed and developed since the beginning of it all. From classic traditional movies and music to more diverse and widely understood by all. Examples of such things including love songs, holy songs and songs about friendship. The music of Bollywood includes a wide range of music that often reflect the wide range of emotions of the human race.
There are many differences to Sholay and Dhoom Again. First of all, the presentation of the songs are very different. In "Dhoom Again'', the modern movie, they had a different style of clothing. They all were wearing a more western type of clothing. In "Sholay", the traditional indian movie, the women would wear saris and more modest clothing. Also both of these movies take place in different regions. In Dhoom Again" everything takes place in the city, while in Sholay everything takes place in a small and local village of India. Another difference is that "Dhoom Again" included english in their songs and some of their diologue instead of the Indian language of Hindi that most people in India speak in their day to day lives. In movies such as "Sholay" the music and the dances are more traditional often reflecting the society. While "Dhoom Again" had more coreographed moves in their dances.
Dialoge between Amitabh Bachchan (AB) and Shah Rukh Khan (SRK):
Amitabh Bachchan: Hello Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan: Hi Amitabh Bachan
AB: Shouldn't a young man like you call me Mr. Bachan? How rude and untraditional of you.
SRK: I'm sorry Mr. Bachan, I must say i enjoyed your last movie.
AB: Thank you ShahRukh, your last movie seemed a little Western, there was no Indian tradition in it.
SRK: Well yes sir but i must admit that Bollywood is changing and more viewers would prefer more modern movies.
AB: What is this supposed to mean? Movies made in Bollywood should reflect India and their traditions. Am I right?
**Silence**
SRK: Of course, the Bollywood movies now a days do reflect India and their traditions but they also add a kick of modern characteristics.
AB: What do you mean by "modern characteristics"?
SRK: I mean, by modern characteristics we have cooler clothes, and a more upbeat rhythm to our music. You have to admit the music back then was a bit aged.
AB: EXCUSE ME????? That aged music is the classic music of India. Your music would be nothing without the skilled talents of the singers back in that time.
SRK: Actually it would. With the help of the Americans and Britains we were able to create this mix of traditional India and modern America.
AB: You have no right to make this claim!
SRK: Plus, your kind of traditional movies can become a little old sometimes.
AB: Well the movies you make now a days are tacky and unoriginal.
SRK: But they're super amazing!
AB: So were the movies that I used to make!
SRK: Yeah but they dont have that spice that the movies nowadays do.
AB: You know all movies these days are just copies of American movies. They are not original.
SRK: Come on, not all modern movies have changed to that. Have you seen my movie Om Shanti Om? This movie was totally traditional but it did have some modern twists to it.
AB: Well yes, I agree to that. That was a good movie that had both the traditional and modern characteristics of India.
SRK: Yeah!
AB: So, the movies are the same old indian movies just with a modern twist.
